‍ This is a very personal set of stories. I mention this because I wish you, the potential reader, to realize that there is no intention here of representing any of these stories as prophecy, or any sort of accurate depiction of anything that might actually happen, outside of the very broadest application of the truth.

‍For example, we know false religion will be destroyed by Jehovah, using the United Nations as his primary tool. We know that the new world will come, ushering in His blessings of life, good health, the resurrection and so forth. These biblical facts are the springboards for the as-yet-fiction found in this book. There is no attempt or intention here to depict actual people, congregations, specific events or doctrines, outside of the broad and non-specific truths already understood. They are intended to be no more than "artist's conceptions", like the many illustrations in our publications.

My worst fear when people started asking to read these stories, people would take them to be speculations on what might actually happen. Please remember, this is not so, they are just flights of imagination, no more.

The importance of this fact is this: If you picture some of these events differently, if you see the new world in some other way, well and good! Only Jehovah knows what things will really be like. You may be right. Both of us are probably wrong. These stories are just the way I pictured it, at the time.

If these stories cause you to think about a particular situation, whether it could be, or could not be, whether you can see yourself there, as it's pictured, or in some other scenario, at least we are both thinking on the kingdom. We are making it real within our own hearts. We are keeping it "close in mind." If you choose to read them, I hope you get some enjoyment. That's their primary purpose.
